Oh. My. Gosh. BEAUTIFUL!!
Daweezy loves wine, so when deciding on something special to do for her Bachelorette weekend, I chose a winery tour. I searched throughout Georgia for one within a day-trip distance from Atlanta … I found a gem! Montaluce Winery is absolutely GORGEOUS! It is in Dahlonega, GA, don’t worry, most of us can’t pronounce it the correct way either! We partook on a Deluxe Tour & Tasting with sommelier, Bill. Seriously check them out here -> Montaluce Winery Deluxe Tours! As you can see, (in the pic that we’re playing in traffic), the owners are working on making their land into “Little Italy.” They are succeeding! The villas are BEAUTIFUL! We all felt like we were driving into Italy as we approached the winery.
We started our Deluxe Tour off with some of their Wild Flower Honey Mead – Delicious!! Then we were introduced to the wine production room with detailed information on how the different types of wine (and champagne!) are made. We found all of the information extremely interesting and Bill the Sommelier was very patient with our every question! It takes a brave, and patient, man to put up with a Bachelorette party of 8!
After taking a walk outside to see the vineyard, we moved to the restaurant area to begin the tasting of a full “Wine Flight,” which included 6 (we were lucky enough to get 7 because of an error on the printed sheet, lucky us!) wines, both red and white. The tasting also had deluxe cheeses, crackers, jams and chocolates to pair with the different wines.
All in All it was a HUGE success! Collectively the favorite was a red wine called Dolce Rosso, Daweezy bought some of it and a white to serve at her wedding. I’m ready to enjoy it again!! If you would like to try some of their wine you can order it here -> Montaluce Store … Ultimately, we want to go back to Montaluce Winery and enjoy the atmosphere again!
